Tot Packs and Books are a tot's introduction to lapbooks. This is a great way to use familiar characters to help little ones learn their basic through active learning opportunities. While searching for activities to do with my tot, I found Carissa of 1+1+1=1. Her site is a great resource for anyone who is trying to "teach" their tot at home. I found her blog/site and am completely hooked. One great resource on her site is her page and explanation of Tot Books. She inspired me to not only use her Tot Books, but to create some of my own.
I would love to share them with you, but I do ask that you do not sell or host them yourself. Feel free to use them for personal use, and link back here so others can use them too!
Hopefully, this page will continue to grow as more Tot Books and Packs are added.
Available Tot Books and Packs
Just a note about using this as a Tot Book. Feel free to do so, but the books are a little larger than they should be for a Tot Book using only half a folder (as Carissa suggests). (Clip art is from disneyclips.com)
(I will post more pictures when we actually use this Tot Pack.)
I made a shadow matching game using Passover symbols.
I also made a seder plate matching game. I took these images and cut them out, and then cut on the dotted line. I then glued one side on a circle and laminated the other. I also traced the extra piece to make it a little clearer to see where it should go. This would be your option. I did do more work by hand on this game than I normally do.
Future Tot Books Themes
- Mickey Mouse (Clubhouse)
I would love any thoughts, ideas or suggestions anyone has. Also, if you have a skill you would like to see incorporated, please let me know and I will try to make add it in.
If you have a theme you would like to see a beginner Tot Pack or Tot Book created for, please let me know. I make no promises, but I am definitely interested in creating and using more of these.
Again, please check out 1+1+1=1's Tot Books and Tot Packs! She did a great job!
